RIP Jules

General
I've heard through the grapevine that Jules Nicholson, one of the tech chaps I talked with pretty regularly, has taken his own life. He'd been trying to get support for his depression from the NHS who (by the sounds of things) failed him, but had booked himself into somewhere private to try and get sorted that way. Evidently that didn't work for him - I found out this morning while trying to track him down.
As well as being a frequent contributor to
UKnot, Jules was a party in the
One In A Million case at Nominet some years ago, and more recently had built
gadgets.co.uk before falling ill.
Hope you're happier wherever you are, mate.

That is just so incredibly sad. I found your site while trying to find contact details for Jules as I'd lost contact with him over the last few years. I guess now I understand why.
I last met him in the late 90's when he was selling mobile phones and had (or used) an office in Kingston. He was an interesting character, but very on the ball with technology and I well remember the, umm, mess he and I think it was Richard got into in the early days of domain registrations.
Interestingly, spicegirls.com, one of the contested domains still appears registered to Richard and I always smile remembering how those two (with contributions from many others including myself) basically turned the Orange mailing list into a spicegirls discusion for a few months in 1996. :-)
Though I didn't know him well, he'll be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
Thank you so much for posting this, I'd never have known otherwise. It's a shame there's not more online about the Oneinamillion case etc giving background etc, as the story would make a good website, book or movie.

Correction to the above. Of course it was Chris C, Not Richard C in the Oneinamillion case.
